The artist, who works under the pseudonym SERGE VALLBERG has worked since 2016 on a number of highly textural series of paintings and began with a group of horizontal-vertical striped works, using up to four colors, amongst black and white. He combines the colors in order to get exciting and powerful results. The paintings have multiple layers and passed through many stages of development. The artist’s technique is tried, tested and versatile. Working with layers, building them up and scraping back is an extraordinary process as you can see in his series Cosmic Metamorphosis e.g.
